Routine alarms for your day

Repeat

Alarms load in this browser.

Use an alarm when the fact you know is a clock time on this device, not a number of minutes. Give that time a plain-text label of up to 100 characters, such as leave for class or end of shift, so a list of several alarms still tells you which part of the day each one is. The page compares that local time with the clock on this device. It does not contact a time server. The sound can play only while this page stays open in the browser.

Name the part of the day

Once, or the weekdays you actually go

    1. Enter the clock time and a short label, such as leave for class or end of shift.
    2. Keep every day, pick the weekdays you actually go, or choose Once for a single meeting. Every day is the starting choice.
    3. Turn the volume up from mute, then press Enable sound and Test sound once. Until that click, this browser may keep the ringing silent.
    4. Add the alarm. Off keeps the name and the time and stops that one from ringing. Delete removes it from the list.

What a saved routine can hold

    • This browser holds 50 alarms. Each row keeps its own clock time, its own label, and its own on or off switch.
    • Once, or the weekdays you select. Every day means the next time that clock reading occurs.
    • A plain-text label of up to 100 characters. The page shows the characters as text.
    • Pick a sound for that row and a volume from 0 to 100. At 0 the row is muted. While it is ringing, the sound continues until Dismiss, Snooze, or Stop sound.
    • Dismiss ends that ringing. Snooze schedules one extra ring five minutes after the saved time and does not change that saved time. After the extra ring, only Dismiss remains. Stop sound silences this ringing and leaves it on screen.

    A weekday example

    • Monday through Friday at 07:40, labeled leave for class, on the days you select.
    • One Thursday at 15:00, labeled advisor meeting, set to Once.

While this page can still run

    • The ring depends on this page still being open. Close the tab or the browser, or let the system stop the page, and there is nothing left to ring.
    • Screen-off phones and a frozen browser can stop the page before the clock time arrives. This list is not the alarm installed on the phone or computer.
    • A hidden tab can deliver the ring late. Come back within about a minute of the alarm time and it can still ring. After that minute the page skips the late ring, advances to the next occurrence, and marks the missed one.
    • Enable sound and Test sound are the click this browser asks for before it will play audio. Skip that click and a due alarm can sit on screen and stay quiet.
    • A volume of 0 means that row is muted. It will not play, and the page labels the row muted so the silence is visible.
    • These times follow the clock on this device, so a wrong device clock shifts every row. A spring-forward hour that does not exist is skipped. A fall-back hour that happens twice uses the moment the browser returns. This page has no time-zone picker.
    • The list is stored only in this browser. There is no account behind it. Clear this site's data and the rows are gone.
    • Two open tabs try to hand the sound to one of them. That handoff can still miss, so both tabs may play for a moment.

    Questions about a saved routine

How do I tell which saved alarm belongs to which part of the day?

Read the label and the weekdays on that row. A label can be up to 100 characters of plain text, such as leave for class or end of shift. You can keep up to 50 alarms in this browser, and editing one leaves the others as they are.

When should a routine repeat on weekdays, and when should it ring once?

Pick the weekdays you actually go when the same clock time returns each week. Choose Once for a single meeting. Every day is the starting choice, and it means the next time that clock reading occurs.

What does snooze change, and what does it leave alone?

Snooze schedules one extra ring five minutes after the saved time. The saved time and the weekdays stay as they were. After that extra ring, only Dismiss is available.

Why can a due alarm stay on screen without any sound?

A browser can block audio until you click Enable sound or Test sound. Volume zero is muted, and the page says so. If sound still does not start, the due alarm remains on screen.

Where does a weekday routine go if I switch it off for one week?

Off keeps the label, the time, and the weekdays, and that alarm does not ring. Delete is the control that removes the row.

What happens if I open this page a few minutes after the alarm time?

The page can still ring if that time is no more than about a minute ago. After that it does not ring late. It moves to the next time and shows that the last one was missed.

    Where are these alarms kept?

In this browser only. There is no account and no server copy. Clearing site data removes them. A wrong clock on this device means a wrong alarm time.

What happens to a 02:30 alarm on the morning the clocks jump forward?

If that local time does not exist, the page skips it. If a local hour happens twice, the page uses the moment the browser returns. This page does not offer a time-zone picker.
